About hellfire

Founded in 2014 by Brian Pitchford, Team GB Paralympian Steve Brown, and former club chairman Jonathan Marsh, Canterbury Hellfire have gone from strength to strength, making it as high as Super Series Division 1 – playing top-level rugby clubs such as Leicester Tigers.

Ian Lloyd

Ian has been around rugby for nearly 40 years from playing as a junior to being a life long fan. He discovered wheelchair rugby after meeting former chairman Brian Pitchford.

Steve Brown
Head Coach

Steve Brown is an award-winning TV presenter, public speaker and mentor. He is also a wheelchair rugby player and coach who captained Great Britain at the London 2012 Paralympics.

Honary Secretary

Sally has been a sponsor, fan and volunteer for almost the whole of Hellfire’s history.

Treasurer

Jack might be young, but he is certainly a born volunteer. His roles go from repairing wheelchairs, helping to coach to keeping the clubs books straight.

The Future of the Club

The club is looking at future possibilities. These include wheelchair fitness classes ad maybe branching out into Wheelchair American Football.
